Desde niña le gustó el arte, dibujaba las ilustraciones de los cuentos y los libros de la escuela, en la adolescencia hacía dibujos de las caricaturas, luego con la motivación de personas cercanas, decidió estudiar en la Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes en Tegucigalpa en cursos libres egresando en el 2004, donde aprendió diferentes técnicas, entre ellas, pintura, cerámica, dibujo al natural, modelado, tallado en madera entre otros. Luego, decidió dedicarse de tiempo completo a la pintura con el fin de entrar en el mundo mágico del arte en el cual ha experimentado con diferentes técnicas y materiales entre las que se encuentran el collage, la escultura con materiales reciclados, la pintura tridimensional, el cubismo, lo abstracto, el impresionismo, surrealismo, entre otros. En los años 2006 y 2007 fue seleccionada entre 75 artistas a nivel centroamericano como becaria de escultura y videoarte en la Escuela Superior de Arte “La Espora” en Nicaragua, desde donde realizó exposiciones por toda Centroamérica. A su regreso, comenzó una serie llamada Músicos Campesinos, en el cual, el personaje principal porta un voluminoso sombrero que cubre su rostro representando protección, sus pies descalzos es otra característica del personaje que alude al trabajo arduo en el campo y un instrumento de cuerda distorsionado cubriendo la mayor parte de su cuerpo apoderándose o fusionándose con el campesino representando ese momento de armonía y relajación, resaltando nuestras raíces y culturas donde se exalta la gran riqueza cultural que incluye ciudades y pueblos de nuestra Honduras. Title A name given to the resource Espacios Etéreos Description An account of the resource Carmen Moncada, nació en Tegucigalpa en 1963 al interior de una familia católica y proveniente de una familia de costureras y técnicos en radio y televisión. Durante su infancia, vivió en una casa grande y humilde donde fue creciendo entre telas y máquinas y desde muy pequeña le gustaba jugar con lodo y fabricaba figuras de mascotas o aquellas que miraba en las revistas de vida salvaje, se volvieron su pasión al descubrir que podía dibujarlos con el carbón que dejaban las brasas del fogón en la cocina donde habitaba. Su interés por mejorar los dibujos que creaba la llevaron a estudiar artes plásticas en la Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes, luego al madurar como artista se concentró en expresar su preocupación por los derechos de los niños y las mujeres en las maquilas y otros temas como los niños migrantes. Posteriormente, a partir de su conocimiento en el diseño de modas, se abrió paso con un nuevo formato a través del lienzo y rompiendo esquemas, intervino con pintura algunos vestidos, exponiéndolos en concursos de arte que fueran aceptados. No fue fácil, hasta que en el 2001 recibió su primera mención honorífica. Durante sus 25 años creando, Carmen tuvo un accidente artístico. Descubrió que podía pintar con su huella y desde entonces utiliza su cuerpo como pincel, que la ha posicionado como la única mujer latinoamericana que pinta con su cuerpo desnudo, donde además de las pinturas recurre a la utilización de café orgánico y algunas veces vino. Ahí surgió su segunda línea artística llamada "Serie Bailarinas". Finalmente, su amor y respeto por Dios y la naturaleza la han marcado otorgándole un cambio en sus obras con temas como el cosmos y la vida, donde su afán de experimentación junto con su colega, Lucrecia Santos, las llevan a crear escenografías, lámparas, murales, pinturas, esculturas, carteras, ropa, accesorios de vestir e instalaciones artísticas que han sido expuestos a nivel internacional.
