Title A name given to the resource Espacios Etéreos Description An account of the resource Carmen Moncada, nació en Tegucigalpa en 1963 al interior de una familia católica y proveniente de una familia de costureras y técnicos en radio y televisión. Durante su infancia, vivió en una casa grande y humilde donde fue creciendo entre telas y máquinas y desde muy pequeña le gustaba jugar con lodo y fabricaba figuras de mascotas o aquellas que miraba en las revistas de vida salvaje, se volvieron su pasión al descubrir que podía dibujarlos con el carbón que dejaban las brasas del fogón en la cocina donde habitaba. Su interés por mejorar los dibujos que creaba la llevaron a estudiar artes plásticas en la Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes, luego al madurar como artista se concentró en expresar su preocupación por los derechos de los niños y las mujeres en las maquilas y otros temas como los niños migrantes. Posteriormente, a partir de su conocimiento en el diseño de modas, se abrió paso con un nuevo formato a través del lienzo y rompiendo esquemas, intervino con pintura algunos vestidos, exponiéndolos en concursos de arte que fueran aceptados. No fue fácil, hasta que en el 2001 recibió su primera mención honorífica. Durante sus 25 años creando, Carmen tuvo un accidente artístico. Descubrió que podía pintar con su huella y desde entonces utiliza su cuerpo como pincel, que la ha posicionado como la única mujer latinoamericana que pinta con su cuerpo desnudo, donde además de las pinturas recurre a la utilización de café orgánico y algunas veces vino. Ahí surgió su segunda línea artística llamada "Serie Bailarinas". Finalmente, su amor y respeto por Dios y la naturaleza la han marcado otorgándole un cambio en sus obras con temas como el cosmos y la vida, donde su afán de experimentación junto con su colega, Lucrecia Santos, las llevan a crear escenografías, lámparas, murales, pinturas, esculturas, carteras, ropa, accesorios de vestir e instalaciones artísticas que han sido expuestos a nivel internacional. Su gusto por el arte inicio desde muy temprana edad con la técnica del dibujo, siendo sus mentores el reconocido acuarelista Román Watercolor y su tío Ulises Rivera, actualmente su técnica es el acrílico. Es un artista visual y muralista, sus obras son modernas y elegantes. Title A name given to the resource Identidad y Evolución Description An account of the resource Julio Sanabria es un pintor hondureño que nació en el municipio de Siguatepeque, departamento de Comayagua, Honduras; realizo sus estudios de secundaria en dicho municipio. En 1990 se traslada al pueblo típico de Valle de Ángeles, F.M. donde estudia talla en madera en el Centro de Adiestramiento Artesanal de Valle de Ángeles “C.A.A.V.A.” obteniendo el título de “Maestro de Talla en Madera” en el año de 1991. En el año 1997 decide incursionar en el campo de la pintura, para ello hizo uso de libros que le ayudaron a descubrir su propia técnica y estilo lo que lo hace una artista de la plástica Hondureña autodidacta. Sus obras se caracterizan por los vivos colores con rasgos de la cultura maya, flora y fauna hondureña. En cuanto a su técnica el artista utiliza mixta en acrílico, madera, lienzo, raíces, piedra y materiales diversos. A lo largo de su obra hay una constante exaltación de personajes que aparentan levitar en un mundo metafísico, son gigantes con raciocinio minúsculo. El Ego es el cuerpo grotesco y exaltado, la diminuta cabeza es la conciencia. Son personajes cotidianos haciendo actividades comunes.
